Detroit (Mich.) politics and government scrapbooks, 1889,1906.

Scrapbook 1, 1889-1896, has a brown cover with a design of flowers and leaves. "Scrap book" is on the cover and the spine. Scrapbook 2, 1894-1897, has a red cover with the same design as Scrapbook 1, and also has "Scrap book" on the cover and spine. Scrapbook 3, 1898-1906, has a red cover with gold trim. All three scrapbooks include newspaper clippings of Governor Hazen S. Pingree, Detroit and Michigan politics and politicians. Scrapbook 3 also includes clippings on the 1898 election, in which Pingree ran for governor. The contents of all three scrapbooks are acidic.
